Jackson had his 2 month check-up today. He weighs 13lb 12oz. and is 24.5 inches long.
My baby is growing and growing so fast. I've said this so many times, but this really is a bittersweet time for me. I waited 10 long months for him to get here and now I don't want him to grow up so fast. I am even putting off transitioning him out of some of his 3 month "almost too small" clothes because I'm just not ready for my newborn not to be a newborn anymore.
Having said all that, I am SO excited for what the coming months hold for our lives. I am so excited for Jax to giggle every day and reach his arms out to me to pick him up. I can't wait till he gives me little wet kisses! It will be so exciting when he learns to roll over and then crawl and walk. The milestones are so anticipated but I want to cherish THESE moments where he needs me to do EVERYTHING for him.
For so many years, I depended on my parents for everything under the sun. To have someone need you the way little Jax does, it brings a whole new meaning to your life. My needs go far behind his and as long as he is happy, I am happy too. My life is so simple now. I don't worry about the things I do not have because with Jackson, I feel like I have everything. And anything else I get is just a little luxury.
I would not trade this life for anything. Being a mom is more than I imagined or envisioned. It is soo much better. It's simply amazing.

At 2 months Syd was 14.5 lbs and 24 inches. Try to enjoy every moment - before you know it he'll be 18 months and full of opinions ;-)
