First Attempt at the Roll Over!

Well, it's been awhile since I've posted and it's only because I'm finding that my days seem to go by quicker now and sometimes I don't even get in that shower I want/need. Jackson has more awake time and loves to be engaged more than he used to. I find myself looking at the clock and wondering where the day has gone, often feeling like I am getting nothing accomplished. At the same time, I have to remind myself that those things can wait...I won't always get to be home with Jackson.

Today, I managed to slip out to get a much needed pedicure while Jax was napping at home with his Mommom. I've been feeling more stressed lately with sometimes wondering if  I am doing everything right with Jackson. I know alot of parenting is trial and error but my biggest fear of the early years of my new baby is his sleeping habits. I myself was not a good sleeper and neither was Mark. Who knows if sleeping habits are passed on but I fear that Jackson might be like me. He continues to fight sleep and is starting to fight his swaddle also. But, he's not ready to be out of his swaddle so I'm stuck! He's been going in spurts of good sleeping and then bad sleeping and back and forth like that frequently. However, he is potentially starting another growth spurt and potentially TEETHING! What!! I just had him in my belly. How can he be getting teeth already? But yes, we are on the brink of these new developments and it definitely is throwing things off.

Needless to say there are a TON of wonderful things happening with only a few negatives mixed in as expected. Jackson had his first encounter with attempting to roll over today. We were doing tummy time, and he got half way over! It was the cutest saddest thing as his one arm ended up getting stuck under him and he started crying. I was able to get his attempt on video so Mark will be able to see what he missed.

Other happenings with the Sleighter's...Mark is finally, possibly going to be switching positions at his job. This position will bring overtime which brings in alot more income but it comes with a price....a hour and a half commute. We are still trying to figure out the logisitics of everything but hoping that things finally fall into place a year and half later!

Besides that, I am continually on the job hunt with little success...not surprising though. So just substituting when I can and looking for other possibilities in the meantime.
